These Dresses to me where the real stars at last night's Golden Globes Awards. I missed the red carpet so I had to watch intensely at the dresses as they sailed to the stage to either present or accept and award.  There were a  lot of nearly hits that I just did not love 100 percent and there were some out right catastrophes ,but I chose just not to give them any airplay so as you have scrolled through you have seen my favorite looks for the 2011 Golden Globes Awards show. A few regs that are missing are Halle Berry and January Jones. They both looked gorgeous but their dresses were to much I thought for an awards show. One I did not add but loved Sandra bullock's dress but it was not one of my favorites. A few others just did not hit the mark the dresses that did not stand out felt a little like last season to many layers and ruffles. The season of the awards show gowns has begun and the one's that will win praises will be the dresses that are sleek, Flashy yet minimal. The either pale pallet or firey colors with a touch of glamour will be atop of the one shoulder ruffle get ups this year. I hope that the one shoulder is on its way out. Could not end my blog rant without a stop at Michael Kors
He is an American designer who really gets what women like to wear. If I had to compare him to anyone I would say he is our American YSL. While all famous designers fuse from here to there the greats always have a staple that is attached with their name. For me Micheal always keeps it chic yet playful. All of the clothing pieces are from his plus size line@ Bloomingdales, and no Micheal Kors outfit is complete without a shoe and bag.  Just a few ideas to get your spring wheels in motion. let me know what you think. My trip to Ashley Stewart

                                    

I dropped into Ashley Stewart recently and was happy not to be disappointed. I still only like half if not under half of the selection, but I think they are coming along. There are some hot hues of blue floating around in there that will be perfect for spring and summer. The polished pink sweater with cable knit  collar will be perfect for the cool nights when we begin to thaw from the chill. This bra is a Butterfly bra and I have one. After extensive research I finally went and tried one on. Let me tell you Ms. Jill Scott was on to something, it feels great I can tell you how satisfied I am and that is hard ti do with me and undergarments. Its like body armor for boobs and it holds in and supports my backside. The butterfly bra gets my official thumbs up. To me its is better than spanks. I am so fulfilled that I will be taking a picture to show you so stay tuned until next time. Dior darlings!!!

Carolina Herrera fall preview 2011
Carolina Herrera has always made glamorous look easy and dresses that are made for femme fa tale's it looks like she is showing her rendition of a minimalist look with character. The floor length button up dress is still a glamorous girls dream while the grey hue keeps it clean and flexible for day or night. The detailed pencil skirt is a new alternative to a frumpy two piece business suit. Giving a speech or proposal in this number should seal the deal.






Jason Wu fall preview 2011 
As I have said previously camel hues are on a roaring run and designers like Jason Wu are weaving the color well into collections for next fall. Camel is the canvas and grey is stroked across it ( in the form of hand bag here) meshing together to make a polished look. The brown suede shoe screams fall and adds the perfect accent. Cranberry handbag with chocolate trouser and multi stripe sweater is uniform to fall fashion.
If Jason Wu can dress the first lady I think he knows what he is doing. Love it!




Reed Krakoff fall preview 2011
Only recently have I discovered Reed Krakoff. I will totally admit I am a novice to the fashion game but love it so enough to discover all of its components one by one. His work to me definitely has a minimalist feel, but his high splashes of color I love and the pieces are wearable and interchangeable. love this I call it corduroy blue suede coat and grey high heel boot you can't miss the fashion bus with this look. This golden mustered colored evening gown is stunning a beautiful broach or colored Van Cleef  &Arpels Jewels would accent this dress perfectly
